NEM mechanism
- Install a rooftop solar PV system to generate energy.
- The system is connected to SEB’s distribution grid.
- 100% of the energy produced is exported back to SEB.
- Exported power offsets the owner’s electricity bill at a 1:1 tariff rate.
Quota period: 2025–2026

Systems completed in 2025 are eligible for payout in January 2026.
Subsidy eligibility
- Residential landed properties
- A SESCO account to receive the subsidy
- Installation and T&C by an EIU installer
- Acceptance of SESCO distribution
- Signed NEM contract and PV meter installed
Subsidy amounts, quota and eligibility are set by Sarawak Energy Berhad and may change without notice. Figures shown are for the 2025–2026 quota period. We will confirm the current position in writing before you commit.
